Make quizzes with AI

Tell your AI the quiz you want. It builds it in RedMo.

Set it up once, in about five minutes. After that you just ask, in your own words, and the questions, pictures and answers appear in your RedMo account. Free, nothing to install, no coding.

You need a free RedMo account, and a Claude or ChatGPT account.

How it works

Three steps, and you do the first one only once

  1. 1

    Connect

    Link Claude or ChatGPT to your RedMo account. One time, about five minutes.

  2. 2

    Ask

    Describe the quiz in plain words: the topic, how many questions, who is playing.

  3. 3

    Check and play

    The quiz shows up in My quizzes. Look it over, change anything you like, then host it.

Before you start

  • A free RedMo account. The Approve screen asks you to sign in, so make one first if you don't have it yet.
  • A Claude or ChatGPT account.
  • A computer for the setup. It is a few clicks in a browser.

Connect Claude

Works on every Claude plan, the free one included (the free plan allows one custom connector).

Button names are written in English, as in the app. If your app is set to another language, the same buttons are there, in the same order, just translated.

The RedMo address - you paste this in
https://redmo.xyz/mcp
  1. Open claude.ai, or the Claude desktop app, and sign in.
  2. Click Customize, then Connectors.
  3. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  4. Type RedMo as the name and paste the RedMo address. Click Continue.
  5. Leave everything Claude fills in as it is - don't open the advanced settings. Click Continue again if it asks, then click Add.
  6. If RedMo shows a Connect button, click it. A RedMo page opens: sign in and click Approve. That is the whole sign-in.
  7. Start a new chat, click + at the lower left, choose Connectors and switch RedMo on. Now ask for a quiz.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector first (Organization settings, then Connectors). After that you just click Connect next to RedMo.

Prefer to be guided? Copy a prompt, paste it into a chat, and the AI lists every step for you.

Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT renames its menus from time to time, so the words on your screen may differ a little. The steps stay the same.

Button names are written in English, as in the app. If your app is set to another language, the same buttons are there, in the same order, just translated.

The RedMo address - you paste this in
https://redmo.xyz/mcp
  1. Open chatgpt.com in a browser on your computer and sign in.
  2. Open the plugins page at chatgpt.com/plugins. In some versions the same place is called Apps or Connectors, under Settings.
  3. Click + at the top right, then Create app.
  4. Name it RedMo, paste the RedMo address as the server address, and leave the sign-in set to OAuth.
  5. Tick I understand and want to continue, then click Create.
  6. Click Add RedMo to ChatGPT, then Sign in with RedMo. A RedMo page opens: sign in and click Approve.
  7. ChatGPT tells you the connector is installed. Start a new chat and ask for a quiz.

Which plans? Making your own connector is a paid-plan feature in ChatGPT, and when we tried it, it also worked on the free plan. OpenAI changes this often. If you don't see Create app, your plan or workspace doesn't offer it yet - on a work account, ask your admin.

We have also applied to be in ChatGPT's own app list. Until RedMo shows up there, the steps above are the way.

Prefer to be guided? Copy a prompt, paste it into a chat, and the AI lists every step for you.

What is the Approve screen?

It is how Claude or ChatGPT asks RedMo for permission. A RedMo page opens, you sign in with your email as you always do, and you click Approve. There is no key, password or code to type into your AI.

You can disconnect it at any time in RedMo, under Settings › Connect your AI. It stops working immediately.

What next

Now just ask

Copy one, paste it into a chat with RedMo switched on, and change the details to fit you.

Class

Make me a 10-question quiz about photosynthesis for 12-year-olds. Mix multiple choice, true or false and one slider, and put a picture on every question.

Team training

Make a 12-question onboarding quiz about our fire safety rules. Start with a slide that explains the rules, then mix question types. Keep it friendly and short.

Pub or party

Make a pub quiz with 3 rounds of 5 questions: 90s music, world geography and food. Start each round with a poll to wake the room up.

Family

Make a family quiz for Sunday dinner: 10 fun questions that kids and grandparents can both answer. Use a slider where the answer is a number.

Change a quiz

Open my quiz about the solar system, add 3 harder questions at the end and translate the whole quiz into Spanish.

Stuck?

If something doesn't work

I can't find the option to add a connector

Your plan or workspace may not allow it. In Claude every plan can, but the free plan is limited to one connector. In ChatGPT it depends on your plan. On a work account an admin may have to switch it on - send them this page.

Sign-in fails, or the Approve page doesn't open

Allow pop-ups for claude.ai or chatgpt.com, sign in to RedMo in the same browser first, and click Connect again. Don't type anything into advanced settings or OAuth fields; leave them as they were.

The AI says it can't use RedMo

Start a new chat and make sure RedMo is switched on (in Claude: the plus at the lower left, then Connectors). Then say: Use RedMo to make me a quiz about ...

The quiz isn't in My quizzes

Open My quizzes in RedMo and refresh the page. If it is still missing, you probably approved with a different RedMo account than the one you are signed in to - remove the connector and connect again with the right one. A change to a quiz that is already published waits as a draft until you publish it.

Still stuck

Remove RedMo from the connectors list and add it again from the start - it takes two minutes. Or write to us.

For experts

Under the hood this is an open standard called MCP. Tools that take a config file or an access token work too: pick yours below.

Paste it into your AI. It sets itself up and tells you what it needs.

Other apps: make an access token

Perplexity, Cursor and the rest connect with an access token, which is how your AI proves it is you. It lives in your account, you can revoke it whenever you like, and it works for one thing only: writing quizzes.

Create a free account

Settings › Connect your AI walks you through it. Chat apps take an address and nothing else, so there the key goes in the address: https://redmo-api.onrender.com/api/mcp/redmo_pat_…. The guide builds it for you and copies it in one click.

Some tools take a config file rather than a form. Pick yours, replace the token, done.

claude_desktop_config.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "redmo": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://redmo-api.onrender.com/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer redmo_pat_YOUR_TOKEN"
      }
    }
  }
}

What it is allowed to do

It can

  • Read the quizzes in your account
  • Write new ones, and edit existing ones
  • Search the picture library and attach images
  • Publish a quiz - when you ask it to

It cannot

  • Start or end a live game
  • See player names, answers or results
  • Delete a quiz
  • Touch anyone else's account, or change yours
  • Make itself more tokens

Changes it makes to a quiz that is already published are saved as a draft. A draft is yours alone until you publish it, so nothing an AI writes can change a game in progress. Disconnect it in RedMo Settings and it stops working immediately.

Free, and it stays free

Every feature, no card, no trial. The AI connection included.

Players join with a PIN and never need an account.
